I recently visited Mt. Trashmore, a local park build atop a landfill, as I processed some tough issues in my personal world. This beautiful park with a lovely view from the top was merely a dump at one time. A place full of garbage and filth. But the city made it new.
Just like God did for us.
Let’s face it—we’re full of self and sin and junk, as is this world. But God made us new and whole again! With Himself. Thankfully, He is able to remove the trash inside of us, not only cover it up.
He makes all things new.
2 Corinthians 4:16-17
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
